Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Job Type: Contract
A Senior Systems Engineer required for a project for a leading manufacturer within the rail and Aerospace sector. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be required to lead a team developing systems/products as the designated design authority, technically manage support services including integration/site works/deployment of delivered systems/products, depending on the size, scope and/or complexity of such projects.
Key Activities:
. Specialist Activities such as system definition, RAMS assessment and resolution of complex engineering problems.
. Examine long term systems engineering requirements, suggest alternative plans and technical strategies and report on their feasibility.
. Implement complex and leading edge solutions requiring advanced systems engineering methods and techniques, and the exercise of considerable judgement.
. Support technical tendering and project engineering activities as required.
. Systems Engineering experience and managing, designing, development and validation of subsystems in Rail/Auto/Aero/Automation industry.
. Participate in creating SRD, Concept and Interface documents and supplier evaluation for the associated products.
. Exposure to CENELEC standards - EN50128, EN 50126, EN 50129 (added advantage).
. Development activities (Design, drawings, prototype, testing and validation etc.)
. Work closely with the suppliers to ensure that the System Requirements are clearly understood and agreed upon.
. Responsible for developing the Design Verification Testing Plan along with the suppliers for the respective systems/sub-systems
. Overall responsibility for specific projects - plan, development of sub systems, follow up, report and control, delivery of agreed objectives
