Description
Provide test case writing oversight, requirements review, subject matter expertise on enterprise wide application test execution.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Requirements review - collaboration with analysts to update requirements where needed.
- Triage defects and report on defect impacts.
- Troubleshoot defects/non defects for functional area of expertise that are blocking test progress.
- Subject Matter Expert in at least one functional area per application the tester works on.
- Write test cases from a variety of documentation types.
- Applies test expertise and experience to execute test plans, conduct negative/exception tests, verification, performance and regression testing, and UAT testing.
- Full understanding of all aspects of Defect life cycle.
- Understanding of structured SDLC environment.
REQUIRED
- 5 - 10 years experience in Quality Assurance
- Test automation experience
- Java or Ruby background
- Test methodologies
- Strong Communication skills
- Flexibility/Multi tasking
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of Unix commands and/or Knowledge of SQL
- QA Hadoop experience working on a Big Data project a plus
- Testing in Data warehouse system experience
- Algorithm testing
