Description
To effectively manage a portfolio of Corporate Contracts with a total annual value of approximately £100m. To undertake and manage procurement projects and to undertake detailed spend analysis where appropriate and provide ongoing support and advice to managers and officers in Service areas to enable the Council to obtain best value for money. To manage the effective delivery of the Procurement Strategy across the Council and help establish the procurement function as an acknowledged centre of excellence. The main focus of this will role will be ICT procurement, though the post holder may be required to lead on procurement exercises outside of the ICT category as and when necessary.
