Role - Senior Domain Business Data Architect

Duration - 6 months

Location - London

Role Purpose

  • Creation of a single, cohesive strategy for the governance and management of data to ensure the commonality and consistency of the data used to manage the business.
  • All critical information assets will be owned by business, certified and unambiguously defined, aligned with defined standards and regulatory requirements, supported by strong governance process, appropriate documentation and technology, and presented for all users in a fit-for-purpose format.  
  • Creation and implementation of the Business Data Architecture to define the business standards of data in the future state. The data architecture describes the meaning, purpose, use, owners, producers, consumers, golden sources and trusted integrated copies of data.
  • We require a senior business data architect to drive, develop and document specific domains for the group business information model

Principal Accountabilities

  • Drive, develop and document specific domains for the group business information model
  • Lead integration of the Business Data Architecture with other workstreams of the Data Management Programme.
  • Ensure  architecture delivery plans are appropriate across all lines of business and relevant functions
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance architectural delivery plans
  • Track, control, monitor and deliver to these plans
  • Identify and manage RAIDs for specific business information model domain and escalate as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain data domains of the group business information model
  • Deliver against programme commitments
  • Ensure delivery plans are set and met
  • Ensure resources are deployed to support all projects
  • Address any faults in the project deliverables at appropriate stage
  • Lead the review, sign-off and adoption strategy for business information model data domains
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support execution of business information model at pace and with minimum conflict
  • Support the identification of stakeholder goals related to business information management and effectively manage their expectations, addressing any misalignment
  • Chair the business data architecture working group
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve group wide business data architecture development conflicts
  • Agreed domains and adoption plans
  • Customer/stakeholder feedback
