12-MONTH CONTRACT POSITION

Job Title:  Instructional Designer

Location:  Corona, CA  92881

Stage of the Project:

  • Re-Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing

 Team:

  • Contact Center Strategy
  • 3 - 5 people

Position Description:

  • Support varied training program management activities, development, delivery of internal and vendor training solutions using prescribed tools according to program management organization including business process management support, time management, training process, quality, budget, and milestone standards
  • Identifies actionable items and raises issues/risks to ensure project success
  • Coordinate training events and logistics, training calendar management, training materials management, and travel to sites requiring on the job support which includes job aid development
  • Coaches peers and customers
  • Provides input to Instructional Designer/Developer Leads (IDDL) regarding process and continuous quality improvement opportunities

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Vendor management support
  • Project management support
  • Business process management support
  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining training documentation supporting contact center deployments
  • Lead responsibilities may become a part of this role depending upon the needs of the projects being supported

Requirements (Must Have):

  • Must reside within a 40-mile radius of Corona, CA 92881 (this is not a remote or virtual training position)
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
  • 4 - 10+ years' experience
  • Adult Learning, Training, Curriculum Design and Supervisory experience
  • Develop/support Computer Based Training (CBT) Design & Development as needed
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication
  • Teamwork and Collaboration involving FTEs, contingent staff; partner with labor management teams
  • Must have experience in web-based training, storyboard design, and Instructor-led training design
  • Must have excellent technical writing skills (however, not in lieu of training development skills)
  • Instructional design (including project planning, documentation management, reproduction coordination)
  • Time management (including travel engagements coordination)
  • Candidate must be flexible, self-directed when necessary and able to work with geographically dispersed business and information technology teams willing to support internal customers and vendors located across the United States
  • MS Office proficiency including Project, Visio, and PowerPoint; eLearning tools such as Articulate, Captivate, and Lectora
  • After a candidate has been selected for hire, candidate must be able to start work no later than 10 days after an offer is accepted

Travel:

  • Travel is between 20 - 30% depending upon the needs of the project and is cyclical. Travel within any given month may or may not be required.
  • Main locations are Northern California, some Southern California, Colorado
  • Utilizes a reimbursement of expenses process
