Job Description
The Disability Claims Specialist will provide confidential intake and management of Leaves of Absence and disability claims for a Fortune 500 company in the chemical industry.
Disability Claims Specialist Job Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary customer service to employees, supervisors, HR, etc.
- Accurate intake and documentation of all leaves in the Case Management System and determine eligibility and appropriate benefits.
- Ensures system triggers, notifications, communications and diaries as documented.
- Appropriately utilizes clinical duration management tool and refer for clinical review.
- Timely notification to the Data Group and Payroll to ensure appropriate pay, status and benefits.
- Facilitates return to work with employee, site medical contact, supervisor and HR.
Job Requirements
Disability Claims Specialist Qualifications
- Professional level experience in leave management, disability claims and benefits administration
- Demonstrates the ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Timely and accurate processing in all leave and disability claims
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent training and experience
Preferred
CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist)
CCM (Certified Case Manager)
CPDM (Certified Professional Disability Management)
