Systems Verification Engineers - 6 month initial contracts
Responsibilities:
- Verification of Systems Requirements and design, working with the customer in a team context
- Generation of verification test procedures and test scripts
- Updates to test rig hardware and tools
- Responsibility for delivering and undertaking testing according to procedures and scripts in a timely and efficient manner
- Generation of test reports, including failure analysis and problem reporting
- Support to production of certification documentation including verification matrices
- Interface with central Verification Leads and provision of information and deliverables to Programme Leads
During the current period of testing the working hours will be split into 2 shift patterns - Monday to Friday - 6AM TILL 2PM OR 12PM TILL 8PM. When critical testing is not required, standard hours will resume.
Basic Qualifications:
In order to fulfil this role the successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
- A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Aeronautical, Systems or Control Engineering, but lower qualifications will be acceptable with appropriate experience
- A strong interest in systems integration, and its application to electrical motor drive systems
- Experienced in the verification of safety-critical systems
- Understanding of electrical and data interfaces within the aerospace sector
- Experience with Ethernet communication preferable
- Experience with LabView
- Good working knowledge of DOORS
- Experience of DO160, DO178, DO254 and Airbus standards would be beneficial
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Broad understanding of aircraft or other complex safety-critical systems
- Learning ability and desire to be at the forefront of engineering innovation
- Good written and verbal communication
