A market leading client in the Digital Media/eCommerce agency arena is currently looking to recruit an experienced PHP Web Developer to be based at their head offices in Central Preston; 5 minutes away from the main high street
The Senior Developer will be responsible for overseeing all of the major projects that we are currently working on, as well as ensuring that existing projects are maintained.
The majority of this work will be developing using: PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, MySQL, but some server related duties will be required, working with CentOS/Red Hat. You will also need experience with setting up/maintaining an email server.
A typical day will involve; collating information relating to bugs and feature requests that have been recently reported and working with colleagues to decipher which jobs will take priority. Adding new features to the platform and testing thoroughly, before informing affected customers and deploying the changes. Performing checks to ensure that crons have run successfully. Making sure that all software is up to date. Assisting team designers and developers to make sure they are performing tasks correctly.
This is a hands-on role and extensive web development knowledge is required.
As well as performing the role of ‘Senior Developer', you will expected to be able to turn your hand to many other varied tasks, currently including, but not limited to: helping to set up a streaming online TV channel, assisting other companies in the group to set up networks, recommending computer equipment & more
