Maintenance Engineer/Maintenance Technician

Location: Chadderton

Salary: up to £17.00 per hour plus shifts uplift

3 Shift System - 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am weekly rotating pattern.

6 Month Contract

The Company

The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in innovative global technology solutions as an Electrical bias maintenance engineer on an initial 6 month contract. The company is committed to improving security systems within the UK.

The role: As a multi skilled maintenance engineer you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance checks on a range of printing machines and other manufacturing machinery within an industrial environment. The maintenance engineer will be responsible for fault finding on DC drives, motor controls, and PLC systems, to resolve machine breakdowns.

A key member of the maintenance team, the maintenance technician will liaise closely with Quality and engineering departments to ensure that there is minimal disruption to production activities, when dealing with planned maintenance and breakdowns.

The Candidate: An experienced maintenance engineer, you should have experience of problem solving and fault finding on a range of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will be able to diagnose equipment problems and repair these problems as required. As an electrical bias maintenance engineer you will hold a 17th Edition Electrical Regulations certificate, and be educated to HNC level or above in a relevant engineering and maintenance discipline.
