Embedded Communications & Engagement Lead

To support the achievement of the clients programme objectives through professional leadership, advice and delivery of the programme's operational communications and effective stakeholder engagement. The post holder will plan day-to-day communications with relevant organisation audiences, prepare communication products and collateral and deliver these directly and through the wider organisations communications division.

Planning
Initiate and update a planning grid to plot all communication and engagement opportunities for the clients program and ensure this is reflected on the organisations communication division's wider planning grid. Planning activities should include: communications around programme milestones, proactive communications that further the understanding and objectives of organisations program and build support for the programme. Planning should reflect the communication priorities of the programme and employ a wide range of products to be delivered through the most appropriate channels for the intended audience groups.

Audiences and channels
Map all audience groups and gain understanding of their attitudes towards and position on the clients program, identify the most appropriate channels to reach different groups and identify key opinion formers within these groups.
Active engagement with patient and staff representative groups, professional bodies and clinicians will also be required, as well as developing close working relationships with regional leads for Patient Experience across the organisation.
Ensure audience group mapping is comprehensive and kept up to date.
Be the first point of contact for any communications or engagement queries emanating from the programs mailbox.

Media monitoring and evaluation - working with central Programme Communications Team
Monitor all media to provide context for the programme's work and supply relevant and useful updates to the programme to inform its future work.
Evaluate all communications both reactive and proactive judging media engagement for tone, content and understanding and use this to inform future work.
Ensure all communication plans are drafted in collaboration with central Programme Communications team and duly sanctioned before being presented to the programme board.

This role is a fixed term contract until the 31st March 15, salaries are banded at between £45,707 and £56,504 per annum. You MUST be available to interview on Monday 26th May and be available to start work immediately.
