Description
Our client is looking for a VB.NET developer to join their team on a contract basis for a period of 3 months. This role is for a software developer who has worked extensively on supporting (enhancements, migrating Legacy systems) VB.NET on desktop applications.
Responsibilities:
- Working in a team to migrate the existing Legacy systems
- Implement set deliverables by strict deadlines
- System, user and operational acceptance test support
- Develop in complex environments comprising of multiple platforms
- A commitment to quality, attention to detail, and a thorough approach to work
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:
Required Skills:
- Extensive hands on commercial experience in desktop application support
- Essential to have experience on VB6 and VB.NET
- Working knowledge in MS Access 2003 and VBA
- Expertise in SQL server development
You should have:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Previous experience of client liaison
