Netapp Storage Engineer - Antwerp Region
Skills:
Excellent knowledge of NETAPP NAS and being able to deploy, manage and troubleshoot these environments on a daily base.
Additional knowledge of migration of data, CIFS and NFS protocols is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of common storage provisioning tasks and concepts
Solve general & performance issues, performance monitoring, planning and tuning.
In depth Knowledge of SAN, SAN storage arrays is a plus
Knowledge of Backup concepts and backup technology, specifically NetBackup, including via LAN, via SAN and advanced backup technologies is a plus
In depth knowledge of integration of NAS components into OS (UNIX, VMware, Linux, Windows) is a plus
Able to integrate his/her technical knowledge and skills in an environment that is highly regulated and subject to different ITIL based processes (Change Management, Incident Management, Asset Management)
Responsibilities
The Storage Services team is responsible for deployment, standardization and support of the storage environment in EMEA & ASPAC
Main focus will be deployment, management and support of NETAPP NAS storage systems.
Global project member to remediate the Legacy HW with new storage worldwide and ability to align with globally imposed processes
As a project team member identify optimization opportunities through consolidation or simplification and executes those plans if there are substantial strategic/cost justifications
Deployment, management, support, troubleshooting of the storage environment in EMEA with a strong focus on Netapp NAS. This can include the high end data storage, Storage Area Network if required.
Storage provisioning to middle and large size systems in different business related projects
