Description
Our client is currenlty embarking on a number of major projects to upgrade and transform the way they do business. This role is your chance to work on key software technology which underpins a number of their critical control systems.
Using your knowledge of the SDLC and your previous experience on systems projects, you will work in consultation with your team and project managers to deliver software systems projects and solutions.
Working on the full end to end design and delivery of the system, you will produce design documentation, code, and test software modifications. The software you are working on will be critical to the organisation's core business and are high availability applications related to safety and reliability.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical or computer systems engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- In depth knowledge of software and hardware development using:
- Real Time
- reporting systems
- OO analysis/design/programming
- testing
- configuring
- commissioning hihg availability business critical systems
- Understandinvg of embeddd, safety critical, high availability, event driven systems
- Demonstrated ability to produce user requirements, software requirements, design documentation, coding and user guides in an OO UML development environment
- Experience in database design using Access or SQL, Microsoft Visual C ++ or equivalent Microsoft applications
- Knowledge and experience of document and specification preparation and of configuration control
