Manning Publications is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help deliver world class software on a wide ranging stack of cutting edge tools. You'll be doing everything from coding in backbone.js (or another Javascript MV* framework) to helping plan our future architecture. The primary project you'll be working on is our new interactive web-based reader application, but you'll have a chance to get your hands dirty in all areas of our business. We need someone who is as comfortable on the front end as they are on the back end, as you'll be responsible for both the presentation and business logic and services that feed the views. We're a fun, small and fast paced team of remote developers working from all over the world. Both relational and NoSQL Databases (MySQL and MongoDB)

Linux (basic skills required, administration experience preferred), Nginx, Tomcat, Amazon S3

XML, xQuery, DocBook, ePub, PDF, XSLT

Graphic and document format conversions
