SOFTWARE ENGINEER/QUANT DEVELOPER-INVESTMENT FIRM-ZUGThe EMPLOYER
Our client is an international investment manager leading in its field, having a multi asset approach.
In order to reinforce their infrastructure and platform, they are looking for a quant developer with a good experience in the software engineering field. The ideal candidate will be freshly graduated from University (Master or PhD) with a first relevant experience in building software (full cycle).
The ROLE
You will work close to the business and the purpose of your role will be to provide a technical expertise/software engineering support within the investment management process. You will be mainly in charge of:
- Maintain and design the platform used by the company (full cycle of software development): information request, innovation, capabilities extension, new functions development, adapt to procedures, etc.
- Provide support to any ad hoc requests (internal/external clients' need)
- Data base construction
- Support the analysis and research team
- Act as an internal reference in terms of software development with all technologies used in house
- Ability to understand and to work around financial instruments
The requested PROFILE
- Master Degree and/or PhD (Physics, Engineering, Science) or equivalent
- Relevant experience in the development sphere (full cycle of software development+building up software), with experience in investment management support
- Strong development, programming, coding skills (Python is a must, C++, or similar are nice to have)
- Exposed to open source software (up to project completion)
- Strong knowledge of technical market analysis, fundamental approach and macro economics
- Exposed to financial instruments and financial products
- Ability to design, develop, implement and maintain a platform and a database
- Strong analytical skills, business minded
- Good communication skills, creative, "think out of the box"
- Teamplayer and loyal - English speaker (any other language is a plus)
- EU or Swiss passport (or Swiss permit)
