Description
QC Chemist (Level I or II depending on experience and qualifications) in a Life Science Company.Responsibilities:
- Conduct QC testing on various Life Science products in accordance with written procedures and policies in areas including but not limited to: buffers, bulk and packaged chemicals, protein standards, pre-cast gels, PCR and digital PCR reagents and Bio-Plex immune assays.
- Complete testing and data analysis accurately in a timely manner.
- Participate in validation, process optimization, 5S activities
- Perform and improve manufacturing processes using principles of Lean Manufacturing.
Required - Education, Knowledge, Abilities and Experience:
- BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Organic chemistry Math or equivalent years of work experience in related field
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Strong focus and attention to details
- Solid computer skills including intermediate to advances skills on MS Excel
- Able to learn and apply new information quickly
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Solid communications capabilities
- Able to effectively work with others
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated pride in work
Required - Experience:
Level I: 0-3 years with BA/BS or 4+ years elated work experience
Level II: 3+ years with BA/BS or 5+ years related work experience
Optional - Additional Qualifications a plus:
- Previous QC lab work experience
- Previous SAP work experience
