We are currently seeking a Packaging Engineer at our Corporate Headquarters in Carlsbad.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in cross-functional development projects to optimize packaging costs.
* Work with Marketing/Customers, Regulatory/Legal, and Suppliers (product and packing) to define functional and cosmetic packaging requirements.
* Develop graphics and physical requirements for packaging, release component and artwork documentation, acquire samples, test performance, verify with Marketing/Customers, and release to Production/Procurement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5-10 years experience as Packaging Engineer.
* Wholesale packaging, a must. Retail packaging, a plus.
* Adobe Illustrator, a must. SolidWorks, a must. ACAD, a plus.
* Converting from cardboard packaging to polybags, strongly preferred. Designing and deploying dispenser for polybags, a plus.
* Education: Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Engineering degree, a plus
