Description

This Electrical Engineer is needed to bring their expertise to the new product development team within the Medical division of products. Be actively involved in all phases of the design, analysis of design, testing of design, and qualification of the design for production and sale to the public. Participate on project teams, and in some cases lead project teams by directing the activities of other team members in relation to the electronics and control systems of new products.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze complex parts and control systems to applicable engineering standards. This includes daily involvement in making decisions and/or providing technical data for decisions that impact compliance with design specifications.
  • Develop control and component test specifications.
  • Makes decisions and/or provides technical data supporting decisions that impact compliance with design specifications.
  • Creates documents related to the electrical engineering function including, but not limited to, flow charts, schematics, source code, risk analysis, validation test plans, bills of materials, engineering change orders and design records.
  • Creates documentation required to ensure the product can be produced as designed.
  • Ensures and maintains design process and production records in compliance with all applicable internal and external standards including the FDA good manufacturing processes, ISO 9001, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Standards, Canadian Standards (CSA), 60601 medical standard, etc.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and interns, and encourage development of other team members.
  • Demonstrates high levels of initiative to independently recognize, define, and create and implement solutions.
  • Responsible for the planning and organizing of work to meet project goals.


Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree, and 5-7 years work experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
