One of our top 3 clients, a major Financial Services Firm in Boston, is looking for an experienced Front End Web Developer. While previous experience in the Financial Industry is a plus, this is a position in which a candidate will be expected to learn the impact of technology on the business and become familiar with multiple asset classes.In this role you will work closely with business partners and you will be encouraged to work with, and implement, cutting edge technology solutions to complex business problems. For this reason, a high level of independence, personal responsibility, and confidence is required in order to be successful. Your primary focus will be on developing enhancements, as well as new portions, to the firms industry leading FX systems. The work that you will be doing will enable trading partners to make informed decisions, execute trades, settle large trades, and access analytics and data services.
In terms of the technology, the manager responsible for this role is looking for the following:
- JavaScript experience is the most important skill.
- HTML, CSS, Struts/SpringMVC, AJAX will all be utilized in this role.
- Experience with database development including SQL, PL/SQL will be a plus.
