My client, a major international operator, is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager within their Corporate Procurement Team.The ideal candidate must have 5 years of onshore Oil and Gas industry experience.
The candidate must have experience in strategic sourcing, vendor evaluation, contracts management and build strong Contractor/Supplier Relationships.
Procurement and Supplier Relations is a function within the Corporate Procurement function providing strategic and operational procurement services and are based mainly in our Houston office. PSR is designed to act locally while being aligned globally, to leverage strategic relationships by managing Contractor/Supplier relationships through Category Teams.
The Onshore PSR Team's remit is to support the short and long-term strategic & operational procurement and logistic requirements that are aligned with, and deliver value to the businesses, enhance organizational development/efficiencies, increase operational capabilities and support achievement of key ambitions.
Job description
Lead and/or participate in complete strategic sourcing processes including procurement strategies, demand and market analysis, pre-qualifications, tender packages, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and selection
Advise internal customers on procurement issues
Contract administration and performance management
Coordinate/Expedite delivery of goods and services as required
Maintain market overview within relevant procurement areas
Develop and maintain good relationships towards both internal customers and contractors/vendors
Apply and assure compliance with governing Supply Chain Management processes
Qualifications:
4 year Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 + years' experience in oil and gas sector, preferably Onshore
Building strategic operations - and project related contracts strategies
Establishing strategic operations - and project related contract portfolios
Managing and leading operations - and project related contracts
Familiar with materials, equipment and services used in Onshore Oil and Gas exploration and production
Experience from negotiating Master Service Agreements for Early Phase through Commissioning
