Description
Technical Knowledge and Skills- Ability to supervise a team of engineers and designers to execute engineering work for a FEED/EPC project.
- Ability to plan & control engineering activities and develop time schedules.
- Ability to work with Project, Customer and Vendor representatives to resolve technical issues.
In depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes .i.e. NFPA, API, IP, BSI and ISO procedures and standards
Preferred Education and Relevant Experience/Training:
- Education/experience: Requires BS in engineering (chemical, mechanical)+Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety, or Bachelor Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering , with 10+ years in the petrochemical or similar industries.
- Candidate should have a minimum of 6 years Process safety engineering experience in areas such as: process safety management, safety management system development and implementation, incident/injury prevention, safety in plant designs, hazard identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, consequence modeling, safe operating procedures and standards, behavioral safety programs, and incident investigation for Oil & Gas industry.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of loss prevention engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, and industry fire and safety codes, standards and specifications, such as those under OSHA, NFPA, NEC, API and ANSI. Certifications, such as Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional.
- Experience with various Customer Engineering Specifications would be a great advantage.
