Description
One of our prestigious client is looking for an Electrical Design / Automation Engineer to join their engineering team in Dorset. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and enthusiatic when designing electrical control systems for complex machinery.For this role, the following skills and experience will be desirable:
- A good HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- An excellent track record of designing control systems for advanced process machinery using Eplan Electric P8 design software
- Your experience should include Control Panel, Motion Control System, Robotic, Machine Vision and Safety System design to current European legeslative standards
- A thorough understanding of controlling and preventing EMC related issues
- Be able to demonstrate the specification/design/integration of safety components (Estops, safety gate control, light curtains) within robot automation cells.
- Be familiar with various networking systems such as Ethernet, ProfiNet, Profibus, CANOpen, DeviceNET.
- Be able to fault find complex control systems both onsite and at the customers facilities.
- Be able to work without supervision within a multidiscipline team of engineers to achieve system design requirements.
- Be organised and able to support the build and installation process of new systems both onsite and also offsite at the customers facility.
