A Global pharmaceutical company are looking for a Clinical outsourcing manager on an initial 3-6 month contract. The role is predominantly office based in Berkshire with occasional travel to CRO offices and other R & D offices in France and USA.The main purpose of the role is to coordinate daily outsourcing activities through the evaluation and selection of vendors, negotiation of vendor budgets and contracts, and management of ongoing vendor relationships for clinical studies conducted by Clinical Development, Data Management/Statistics, Medical Writing, Clinical, Laboratories, Imaging etc).
For assigned programme(s), take responsibility for effective and proactive contract management to achieve study specifications, time lines, and budgets.
Key skills/ experiences:
-Science or Business degree
-Strong customer focus
-Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal.
-Self motivation with a clear drive and commitment to achieving set objectives and producing quality products within aggressive time and financial constraints.
-A professional, positive, vigilant and sensitive attitude with the necessary democratic communication skills required to communicate at all levels
-Analysing financial information
-Experience in the Pharmaceutical or CRO sector coupled with demonstrated business acumen
-Relevant level of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or CRO industry in a project management and/or business development capacity with a through understanding of 1. contract management 2. outsourcing management.
-Study/ project management within the pharmaceutical or CRO sector coupled with demonstrated business acumen.
-Ability to work internationally and with multi-cultural teams.
