I am seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Research & Development team within the Medical Devices Manufacturing Centre, working on a wide range of specialised products. This opportunity is with an established global business, an innovative leader in their field. My client is one of the world's largest speciality technical services companies, delivering a broad portfolio of engineering solutions that keep facilities operating, minimizing downtime and maximizing profitability.
Day to duties includes:
- Producing mechanical engineering models and drawings to relevant standards.
- Providing experience and expertise in CAD and PDM systems.
- Creating & executing engineering change requests to existing products.
- Implementing approved engineering change orders.
- Conducting & supporting investigations into quality incidents.
- Assisting technical writers in technical manual/instruction production.
You will be degree educated; however, we will look at exceptional candidates with a HNC/HND, in Mechanical Design. Practical experience of all aspects of product design, including using 3D CAD tool Solid modelling and 2D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), and a background in a broad range of manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of engineering data set up (BOMs) in Enterprise Resource Planning systems is also required.
