Description
A contract role as a network and security team lead has arisen within a wel know business in the City.This role is looking to pay between £550-£600PD and is destined to last 6 months. This is an exciting and challenging role for a candidate who can demonstrate a high level of customer service, technical expertise and team supervisory skills.
The main repsonsibilities of this role includes:
- Hands-on technical support for network and security infrastructure.
- Contributing to technical strategy and delivery of project demand
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring for network and security team
The essentials skills for this role include:
- At least 7+ year's experience of supporting and administering a security and networking LAN & WAN infrastructure
- CCNP level certification (CCIE desirable)
Must be able to demonstrate expert hands on experience and detailed knowledge of the design, implementation and support of the following technologies:
- Switching and Routing
- Firewalls - Preferably Checkpoint & ASA
- Various WAN technologies including LES circuits, IPClear, ISDN, DSL
- WAN protocols
- Network management and monitoring
- Site and user VPN's
- Extranet design
- Wireless
- IP Telephony - preferably Cisco
- Web filtering - preferably Bluecoat
- Email filtering - preferably Proofpoint
- Cisco product range
- AAA - preferably Cisco ACS
- SSL Gateway - Preferably Juniper
- RSA SecurID authentication
- Design of resilience and failover systems
Must be able to demonstrate strong skills in policies and procedures management in the network and security arena. This includes:
- Design
- Documentation
- Implementation
- Compliance checking
Must be able to demonstrate strong project management skills including:
- Delivering projects on time and on budget
- Writing business cases
- Create plans using MS Project
- Managing budgets
- Managing engineers, suppliers and interfacing with the business
- Writing communication plans
- Documentation and training
