Hedge fund based in the city have an urgent requirement for a SQL data warehouse developer with strong Business Objects development experience to join their rapidly expanding team. You will be responsible for an upgrade project which will enable you to work with the latest technology in both these areas.This position is for a SQL Data warehouse developer, who will be responsible for the development and support of this huge upgrade. The successful candidate for this role will be able to develop using SQL and Business Objects as the reporting layer of the system. You will be able to balance management duties of on and offshore teams along with being a sole resource on various parts of the build at a particular time liaising with the business.
This is an exciting opportunity as there is a lot of different technology to work with along with being part of a very stable hedge fund. You will gain experience with SQL 2012 and Business Objects 4 which is fairly rare in the city, meaning that you will be in demand for future roles. With this being an upgrade the project is set to last for around 18 months.
This is a 6 month rolling contract with market rates.
Essential Skills:
* Solid SQL development experience utilising the full BI stack.
* Experience using Business Objects Enterprise R3 & R4 suites
* Database programming using Transact SQL, stored procedures, functions
* Using multiple data sources for BO reporting, linked and derived Universes
* Data Warehousing concepts
