The Job Role:
To provide technical support to the multifunctional Asset Teams. To analyse and interpret geological data with the objective of quantifying hydrocarbons in place and optimise reservoir management and field development
- Geological Modelling.
- Defining HCIIP and associated risk of variations.
- Mapping reservoir features which are relevant to any reservoir management and development companies representative at partner meetings.
- To provide the geological input into multi-disciplinary reservoir studies.
- Analysis of all available well data, subsurface and surface analogues, production and test data and 4D seismic to build a geological model in 3 dimensions.
- Support seismic interpretation of field data working closely with the geophysicist
- Work closely with reservoir engineers to generate the appropriate geological model for input into dynamic modelling.
- Identify unexploited hydrocarbons and promote future investments.
- Defining and mapping HCIIP and highlighting potential variations and features that might effect recovery
- Analysing the geological uncertainties which effect HCIIP and expressing the range of possible static reserves under a variety of possible circumstances.
- Identify and bring to the attention of the reservoir engineers and Management the parameters which can effect the locating of wells and ultimate recoveries (faulting, stratigraphy, petrography, etc.)
- Know-how consolidation and dissemination
- Well planning and piloting
- Ensure that all innovative technological applications, technical information and expertise learned from Partners, other Operators, Consultants or Contractors,
- Ensure that all new well locations are based on a sound technical work, which should fully reflect the latest geophysical interpretation and be confirmed by reservoir engineering
