Job Spec: Contract Mechanical EngineerExperience
Mechanical engineer, qualified to a minimum of HNC level.
Experience of the design, testing and development of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Appreciation of the behaviour of large welded and bolted mechanical structures
Familiar with MS office Word, Excel. Knowledge of Access would be an advantage.
Able to work on own initiative within in a team.
UK citizen.
Duties
This position will be in the design and development of military bridging equipment. This may
involve:
The interpretation of technical specifications
Development of design solutions working in conjunction with designers
Checking of drawings
The preparation of technical documentation such as specifications, reports, manuals, procedures
Undertaking hardware development and testing.
Liaison with suppliers
Working to deadlines
Conditions
Contract: 6 month indicative
Notice: 1 week either party
Hours: Circa 45 hours per week, same rate all hours
Location: Stockport
