C# / WPF / Equity Derivatives / London / £400-£500pdMy client a top tier investment bank is looking for senior C# Developer with strong equity derivative knowledge to join their expanding team based in London.
Tasks will include analysis, design and development of new functionality, refactoring code, making substantial improvements to performance and stability, fixing bugs, discussing requirements and testing issues with users, liaising with support teams to assist in diagnosing and resolving production issues, sharing technical knowledge with the rest of the development team.
The system, a critical and high profile application for the business, is used by front office users for managing equity derivative product information and as a hub with multiple feeds to internal and external systems.
The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to these business areas as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.
* Must have 6+ years solid commercial experience developing n-tier systems in C#
* Good WPF experience
* Test Driven development, TDD
* Strong SQL Server t-sql skills and complex stored procedures
* Firm grasp of basic Software Engineering concepts such as - abstraction, encapsulation, visibility, algorithms, compilers.
* use and extensive knowledge of design patterns
* experience of both UI and middle tier web service development
* Strong academic credentials / university degree
* advanced analytical thinking
* Experience of working within Derivatives is a MUST HAVE
* Understand business requirement and translate them into complete technical implementations
Desirable:
* Experience with Agile style methodology is desirable
* Some WCF experience is desirable
* TFS experience preferred
* Prior experience of migrating applications from legacy to C# technology is beneficial
