Senior Geotechnical EngineerAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a specialist Technical team, to undertake technical and operational project management within a large international company. The role will sit within a dynamic team of cross discipline specialists who work on projects around the world, including many of the world's frontier areas as well as our Europe, Africa and Middle East. The role will require a certain amount of travel to contractor, client and operational areas.
Responsibilities
- Client and business development
- Management of geotechnical site investigation works, including:
o Preparation of tenders, specifications, contracts and budgets
o Operational management and cost control
o Oversight of analysis and reporting
- Multi-disciplinary project support
- Geotechnical analysis and design
- Review and preparation of expert witness reports
- Staff supervision, mentoring and training.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology degree (preferably with a postgraduate geotechnical qualification)
- 10+ years relevant industry experience in either Oil & Gas, Marine or Renewable Energy
- Have a good aptitude for problem solving and ingenuity
- Have a proven track record of working within the energy sector
- A dynamic self starter with the ability to work alone or as part of an integrated team
- Possess excellent communication skills
