Role - SQL Report Writer / MI AnalystLocation - SW London
Contract - 6 Months
This role will be based in South West London and you will be responsible for supporting the business reporting needs, from requirement gathering, development and all the way to end user support. The role will also be responsible for facilitating internal & external data requests and inbound & outbound data exchanges (DBA).
You will also be responsible for supporting the whole reporting environments and ensuring their performance, availability and security, by working alongside the Database Administrator.
- In depth SQL server reporting services experience, the ability to create and modify SQL scripts.
- In depth knowledge of T-SQL is essential.
- Commercial experience of 2 - 3 years in report writing against SQL databases.
- Experience in managing reports within SharePoint.
- Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on database projects.
- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning to provide a high performance reports.
- While not necessary, experience in programming would be an advantage.
- Experience in the management of internal and external security of a reporting server.
- Display a mindset of wanting to own this area and collaborate on aspects of architectural design and decision-making to help map out the future.
- Show a strong ethos around business engagement, desire to learn new technologies and drive innovation and a willingness to tackle a broad range of tasks.
Good knowledge base and commercial experience around tools such as:
- T-SQL, DTS, SSIS, SSRS
- SSAS, MDX, DAX (while not necessary, it would be an advantage)
- Crystal Report
- Business Object (while not necessary, it would be an advantage)
- Red Gate
