JOB TITLE: CAD Designer

THE ROLE
My client is a leading Automotive Manufacture and is seeking a CAD Designer to join them on a contract basis. The CAD Designer will provide detailed engineering feasibility for Instrument Panel and Console content, to support interior style development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The CAD Designer will be responsible for:
* Generation of engineering concept schemes to develop engineering feasibility and drive feasibility back into the design.
* Interrogation of design concepts for engineering feasibility assessment, including suggestions for change.
* Comprehensive use of Catia V5 and TCe.
* Creation of detailed sections, either from a blank sheet of paper, or using A-surface data.
* Generation of complete 3D CAD models.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Highly capable Catia V5 skill set, including Solid modelling, Generative Shape Design, Kinematics, Product Structuring, and Drawing creation.
* Highly capable TCe skill set.
* Significant and demonstrable experience of working in a style feasibility environment through to production.
* Detailed design experience of various interior trim components, including Instrument panel, floor console, and door casings.
* A good understanding of the manufacturing processes associated with the above mentioned components.
