In Vitro Scientist - Oncology Disease Models and Mechanism Group

Description

The role is to provide in vitro support to in vivo studies and generation of ex vivo data to a number of project teams to aid the discovery and development of anti-cancer therapies. The role will involve working as part of a team providing cell and molecular biology support to in vivo studies as well as interpretation and communication of data.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Cell culture to support in vivo tumour studies

Planning of in vivo studies, including protocol writing and compound formulation

Monitoring of in vivo study progress

Ex-vivo tissue analysis using a range of standard techniques

Analysis of complex scientific data

Communication of scientific data to project teams

Minimum Requirements

A first degree or equivalent with in vitro cell and molecular experience ideally in a cancer drug discovery environment.

Cell and molecular biology expertise

Ability to analyse and communicate complex in vivo and ex vivo data

Ability to work in a team

Ability to prioritise own workload
