Master & Dynamic is a new luxury brand in the audio space (headphones, earphones, wireless speakers), purpose-built for the creative professional. Our passion is building beautifully designed, technically sophisticated sound tools for creative minds.
We are seeking an enthusiastic embedded software engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for product design for a freelance project. You will work directly with our Chief Product Officer, in-house design team, and production facility to prototype and produce an innovative audio product.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience on embedded system development.
- Knowledge of MFi certificate process preferable
- Knowledge of MFi Digital Audio requirement is preferable.
Languages
- Strong C/C++ programming language.
- Experience in 8-bit/16-bit MCU assembly programming is preferable
Project Length & Phases
- ~4.5 months
- Software documents
- Software development on hardware evaluation board if the vendor could provide.
- Software porting on our target board
- Software debugging
- Engineering pilot run before Mass Production
- Making production ready samples for MFi certificate application
- MFi certification support
Deliverables
- Software requirement specification (SRS)
- Product software code
- Software version control
- Bug tracking system
- Occasional travel to China to support prototype troubleshooting or making production ready samples if necessary
