Description
My client is looking for a Structural Superintendent to work on the upgrade on one of their Jack-Up rigs.Work will take place at their Croatian shipyard from August through to April next year.
Engagement details:
Rotation - 28x28.
Working hours: 84 hours per week / 12 hours per day
Daily Rate - Flexible dependent on experience
The Structural Superintendent will assist the Construction site Manager and provide the discipline support on a day-to-day basis during the tail and Engineering/Procurement and Construction phases of the project.
Tasks and responsibilities
· Assist managing the project site team
· Monitor construction and labour requirements
· Interface with shipyard
· Report progress status or problems / issues and offer technical solutions timely.
· Manage the team of discipline inspectors for coordination of progress reports and all inspection activities.
· Ensure the timely completion of the structural work scope, safely, in compliance with Company documents, specifications.
· Ensure that the safety and quality policies if the Project is adhered to by the discipline construction team.
· Report all inappropriate and non-compliant conditions which occur during the construction
· Liaise with Class and shipyard (retaining issues that might impact delivery schedule and/or variance to the contract)
· Ensure all engineering work is delivered in accordance with company HSE rules
· Mentor staff within the Projects / Engineering team
· Responsible for construction quality, costs, plans, scheduling of projects and overall safety on all project construction activities.
Requirements
· 3+ years, drilling rig repair and upgrade projects (shipyard)
· Bachelor/master degree in engineering
· Engineering skills
· Authority Management skills
· Through knowledge of offshore standards and regulations
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Advanced knowledge of English language is a must.
