Description
A well known retailer with ambitious growth plans is looking for a commercially astute professional with previous experience in Buying and Merchandising as a programme manager to take on a new title.This is a key role responsible for assuring that all of the I.S. services support the business to meet its goals and ultimately contribute to the successful delivery of the business strategy.
You will be the primary contact for senior business stakeholders for all aspects of delivery from Information Systems, and will be acting as an advocate for business areas to ensure that I.S actions and decisions are taken in their best interests.
You will need to be customer focussed with the capability to think strategically while also having the ability to focus on the immediate task to be done. A strong understanding of retail business processes and technology solutions are also essential in this role and experience in retail is crucial.
Responsibilities will include:
-Creating and sustaining partnerships with the aligned business fronts
-Accountability for the entire I.S service provision
-Validating all change initiatives required by the business areas
-Developing and managing relationships with key external suppliers
-Monitoring and reviewing KPI metrics and managing the service improvement agenda
-Recruit, develop and line manage Systems Managers and Senior Business Analysts.
-Maintaining an up to date awareness of industry trends
