Quality Capability Development Engineer required to help develop, promote and implement capability and improvement within the international Quality community by the application of knowledge management and Innovation techniques and the delivery of key functional training material.
Typical activities include:
Support the effective Delivery of the International Quality Information Forums and Quality Conferences in accordance with an annual schedule.
In collaboration with the Heads of Quality, lead the development of the Quality Tactical Model.
Develop and maintain (and deliver where appropriate) 'Fundamentals of Quality' training to new starters. Promote its utilization. Coordinate all induction material used across the client associated with Quality in the business. Manage the development of a suite of topic-based training modules. Work with subject matter experts from the international Quality community to establish core modules for delivery internally and to external customers.
Manage the development, delivery and maintenance of a virtual College for the Quality Community. Actively promote and support utilisation of the virtual college.
Coordinate activities of the Six Sigma training programme. Establish and promote follow-on activities and contribute to the development of a business case for a client-wide application.
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Seasoned operational manager with experience of quality management systems, techniques and processes.
Broad understanding of the key technologies related to defence systems.
At least 5 years management experience within Quality Assurance.
Knowledge of external resources and mechanisms associated with people competency development.
Understanding of cultural differences.
Ability to plan and deliver achievement through others.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
