GIS/.Net Developer - 6 month contract in Dublin with leading utilities organisation

National organisation specialising in combined natural gas and electric utilities in Ireland is seeking a talented .Net developer with experience in Geographic Information Systems.

Role: GIS/.Net Developer

Location: Dublin city

Duration: 6 months contract

Rate: daily rate

Based in Dublin, the organisation is in a very secure and stable position within the utilities market. They are experiencing large volumes of project work from end clients and expect continued growth throughout 2014.

Day to Day

As the GIS/.Net Developer you will be joining an existing team and existing project stream. You will be tasked with the maintenance and management of existing application and assist in the design, definition and creation of new applications. Development of WebGIS applications using WebADF and Silverlight including the creation of functional and technical design documents

Skills:

* Third level degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline

* At least 5 years experience in .Net development

* 3 years of experience in GIS or full completion of at least three GIS related projects.

* Experience using ArcGIS, ESRI Api is essential

* 3 years experience with Javascript and Silverlight

Nice to Have:

* Knowledge and experience with GIS industry principles

* Exposure to ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Mobile
