NETBuilder-looking for Senior DEV OPs to join a leading International Technology Firm based in London on a current High security project.
Senior dev ops engineer
- A minimum of 4 years experience required in a dev ops or infrastructure deployment role, working as part of a team and also providing technical leadership and governance over a team
- Required to maintain, extend and further enable the use of an existing set of tooling used automate the build and management of a number of cloud based development and test environments for a large green field development project
- Advanced use of build automation tooling (Jenkins, Puppet Enterprise and MCollective is used on the project) to manage the software configuration of a large number of hosts (300+) across a number of different environments.
- Strong programming/Scripting and automation skills in at least one programming language (Ruby, Bash, Java, or a similar language).
- Using continuous integration and configuration management (Jenkins, Maven and Git is used on the project).
- Strong understanding and practical hands-on (systems administration) knowledge of Linux operating systems - CentOS, RHEL and Ubuntu preferred.
- Network configuration and routing skills desirable.
- Use of virtualised infrastructure within the cloud (VMware is used on the project).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working within an Agile (Scrum) team desirable
