SAP Procurement Project Manager/SME

We are looking for a high calibre Project Manager/Subject Matter Expert to join a new SAP implementation project in Hong Kong. The project is to replace Legacy Finance and Procurement technology with SAP. You will work closely with the end user team and the contracted System Integrator as follows;

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the approach and timelines of delivery that is agreed with all stakeholders
  • Develop a clear understanding of all dependencies and requirements from procurement team and ensure that these dependencies are integrated into the procurement teams plans
  • Ensure that all business dependencies are delivered in alignment with the agreed plan and that the ERP solution implementation is not delayed or prevented through lack of input data
  • Act as the Procurement lead for solution design, UAT, training and business readiness.
  • Ensure that there is no scope creep during planning or early implementation that will ensure that there is no increase in cost
  • Support the management of the supplier and ensure appropriate performance across the procurement related work-streams
  • Define and train super users across the business to embed the implementation of the new solution
  • Support the on-going implementation of the solution in accordance with the agreed statement of work
  • Ensure that the solution is aligned to current and future procurement strategies

         Degree holder preferably in Business Studies, Procurement or related disciplines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant procurement experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP best practice procurement processes.
  • Prior experience of SAP technology implementation in support of procurement transformation.
  • Experience in using technology to support the procurement process. (eg development of events, specifications and evaluation processes within the system)
  • Detailed knowledge and prior experience of project and programme management
  • Good engagement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience of supplier management.
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Cantonese would be a plus
