Description
A leading global financial firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their development team. Potential hires will be working on a Greenfield project to deliver a high-frequency, low-latency proprietary system. Duties and responsibilities include designing and developing an algorithmic system using C/C++, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of software applications. The ideal candidate must be a team player with strong communication and technical skills.This is a 1-year contract; rate starts at $90/hour and varies with experience.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in computer science, engineering, or related degree
- Background working in the financial or banking industry
- Experience working on contract projects (2+ years preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with C/C++
- Experience with relational database integration and SQL
- Knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP
- Understanding of data structures, STL algorithms, and system programming
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Creativity developing interfaces and assisting with system requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
