Seeking freelance WordPress Web Developer (for ongoing work)

Description

We are a web design company looking for a freelance web developer to employ on a regular ongoing basis. You will be working on a variety of different projects. To start with we expect approximately 10 – 30 hours per week, but this may change over time. We are an Australian company, but we are happy for you to work from your location.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

PHP skills

Ability to install and configure WordPress

Ability to create custom WordPress plugins.

Knowledge of using “Custom Post Types” in WordPress.

Knowledge of ecommerce plugins for WordPress (WooCommerce knowledge would be ideal)

HTML/CSS skills

JavaScript skills

Graphic Design skills are not essential, but would be an advantage.

Excellent English communication skills are essential (verbal and written). We will be communicating with you via email, IM and skype voice calls.

SOME EXAMPLES OF THE TYPES OF JOBS WE WOULD ASSIGN YOU:

We would provide you with a “brief sheet” explaining the functionality for a website (e.g. woocommerce shopping cart, custom forms, image gallery, members only area), and you would need to implement and customize any necessary plugins to meet these needs.

Creating custom functionality for WordPress websites via “custom post types” (e.g. creating functionality for listing cars for sale via custom post types).

Converting PSD design concepts into WordPress Themes

Creating responsive web layouts

Ability to create the graphics for web design concepts is not essential, however it would be an advantage.
