Start-Up Medical Device company in Redwood City is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer who has experience working as both a lead engineer and technical project manager for disposable and electromechanical software based medical device companies.Responsibilities Include:
- Firming up the product design of a disposable medical device and transferring it into manufacturing. This includes bringing on line and offshore contract manufacturers
- Become lead engineer and technical project manager for a disposable medical device
- Become lead engineer and technical project manager for a electromechanical software based medical device
Experience Required:
o At least 5 years of experience designing and manufacturing disposable medical devices.
o At least 2 years of experience designing and manufacturing electromechanical software based medical devices.
o Comfortable using Solidworks, designing for manufacturability, injection molding, extrusion, dip molding, adhesive and solvent bonding
o BS in ME or BioE preferred.
o Ability to travel to China 2 - 3 times during the course of the first 4 months of the engagement. Must have passport.
