Senior AssemblerPosition Summary
Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to follow written or verbal instructions. Must have experience with complex modules or entire instruments. Able to make judgments regarding operations activities while being responsible for own quality inspection.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assembles, disassembles, or performs process steps on more complex products
* Achieves quality and productivity according to established standards
* Routes finished products to their designated location
* Processes accurate inventory transactions
* Perform routine inventory cycle counts
* Maintain "5S" standards for their work area
* Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
* Assist in the training of new or transferred personnel
Minimum Skills and Knowledge Requirements for New Hires:
* External hire - Two years applicable experience in a manufacturing or equivalent environment (Equivalent understood as having performed similar tasks, utilizing similar tools and equipment, and working toward defined quality and productivity standards)
* Internal promotion - one year's satisfactory performance in a less responsible internal position within the manufacturing department.
* High School degree or equivalent education
* Should have 1-2 years experience in manufacturing environment, ability to read, write and comprehend English and basic knowledge of computers.
* Can demonstrate understanding of typical written or verbal manufacturing instructions
