SQL Database administrator required - 3 month contract - Manchester

SQL Database administrator is required for 3 months in Manchester for a public sector organisation. You will be responsible for database administration tasks during the replacement databases utilising industry standard technologies and methodologies. This is a great opportunity to join one of the regions biggest public sector organisations

Rate: £275 + DOE

- SQL Server R2

- Data base recovery

- Clustering, replication and mirroring

- High availability experience

- T-SQL

Job description

- You will be responsible for all areas of the SQL server environment including ongoing improvement of the existing databases, identifying potential issues and implementing performance tuning.

- Database administration tasks

- Assisting DBA manager in tasks

- Maintain and improve the DBA and product knowledge bases

- Storage and capacity planning

- Troubleshooting issues with SQL database when appropriate
