Join a team of scientists focused on human stem cell models with responsibilities for reagent generation, genome editing, and in vitro differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells for multiple therapeutic areas. Responsibilities include performing routine tasks to support execution of specific projects or indirectly in a capacity easing role to support projects. Creating reagents, developing and running primary and secondary in vitro plate-based pharmacology assays, and data management.

Work environment:
  • The person filling this position works in a BSL-2 laboratory.
  • There may be exposure to human cells, chemicals, and biological hazardous materials.
  • Candidate may be handling human ES cells and human iPS cells.
  • Work will be conducted in both lab and office facilities.
  • Data entry, verification and handling, record keeping, in accordance with scientific protocol and applicable Standard Operating Procedures

SKILLS:

  • Must have demonstrated experience with one or more of the following skills: mammalian and bacterial DNA isolation, RNA isolation, PCR and/or qPCR, DNA cloning, and cell culture.
  • Will be excited by a role with high demands and should possess strong collaborative and oral and written communication skills.
  • Should be adept at multi-tasking, integrating biology concepts from group discussions and the literature, and comfortable working in a team environment
  • 1-3 years experience in Mammalian Cell Lines desired
