A healthcare leader in San Bernardino, CA is currently recruiting for an EPIC Applications Analyst.The EPIC Applications analyst is responsible for the design, build, testing, installation and support of software applications required for the deployment of the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Accountabilities
*Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing and support services for assigned one or more applications.
*Understand and translate the business functionality into Epic system configuration and workflow validations.
*Collaborates with other Application Analysts and Clinical Analysts to build test plans for integration testing. Works with project and infrastructure team to manage and maintain test environments as needed.
*Work with the leadership to create detailed application designs that conform to application architecture guidelines.
*Develop and modify system configurations complying with design needs.
*Analyzes design alternatives and makes appropriate design decisions. Designs, validates and confirms new or modified functionality.
*Builds tests and debugs Epic applications to ensure the system meets end user requirements.
*Work closely with business users and applications team to design, build and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test plan and scripts.
*Conduct most phases of testing: unit, integration and user acceptance tests.
*Collaborating on role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented.
*Conducts and/or participates in in-service and various educational programs for professional development.
*Maintaining system documentation to enable ongoing support of the system.
*Reviewing and testing new builds and releases prior to implementing in the production environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience
*Associates or Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business or computer/Information Sciences OR an equivalent level of professional experience required.
*2 years industry related experience in IT/Clinical setting or within applicable area in healthcare operations.
*Prior experience in EMR implementations and/or support is an advantage.
*Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
*Understanding in the implementation and/or maintenance of Electronic Medical Record systems.
*Technical expertise in subject matter areas demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation and support of EMR systems.
Compensation
This role is for a one year contract, however there is potential for extension or conversion. The healthcare provider is very eager to hire and encourages those interested to apply as soon as possible.
