Position OverviewWe are looking for a Software Engineer to help design and develop API Porting Layer and SDK software on our next generation embedded Linux-based platforms using a variety of languages and frameworks, employing both standard and proprietary development tools. We are looking for a passionate, motivated individual, with up-to-date technical skills, who can design and implement cutting-edge embedded firmware to support our new products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Key contributor to the firmware development on next-gen and existing platforms
- Lead system software architecture, design and implementation
- Lead selection and qualification of third party library and tools as needed for product development
- Work with UI, EE and QA to maximize performance and ensure high quality software deliverable
- Support and maintenance of existing products
Education & Experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ Years Engineering work experience
- Expert knowledge of C/C++
- Experience with various assembly languages
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Kits
- Knowledge of embedded Linux, Android, iOS, or Qt
- Experience developing projects on resource-constrained embedded systems
- Participation in Open Source projects a plus
- Other desirable skills: Networking, bootstraps, wireless, USB, storage, A/V
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
