A superb long-term contract requirement has arisen for an exceptional Embedded software development engineer. Successful candidates will have a proven Automotive background and extensive Real Time Embedded C, full life cycle development experience.
Description
The development of Real Time software, to execute within a vehicle's Electronic Control System, controlling diesel fuel injection equipment and other integrated engine and vehicle electronic systems.
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
The main duties of the role will consist of the following:
- Integration of manually and auto-generated C code into a single application using IBM Rational Clearcase.
- Verification of C code via electrical test bench.
- Debugging Real Time safety critical Embedded applications.
- Use of data acquisition systems over CCP (INCA, ATi) for calibration and debugging.
- Software Integration Reviews and Testing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Automotive background mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Embedded software.
- Configuration management experience using Clearcase.
- Strong Embedded Real Time software skills using the C Language.
- Experience of using the Lauterbach debugger.
- Knowledge of the Freescale PowerPC and/or Infineon Tricore microprocessors
- Ability to work as part of a team or in isolation.
