Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and design support for leads, catheters, and related accessories, and will evaluate existing products and develop new products to improve therapy performance, product performance, and manufacturability. The candidate will work on a project to conduct design reviews to ensure device quality, capability, and functional requirements of long-term internal implantables.This is an exciting opportunity to work with multiple teams and departments in a cross-functional role, and to learn new skills and processes in a quality environment within a growing industry; additionally, the position will allow the candidate to gain market-leading skills and can potentially lead to management roles in the future.
Candidates must possess the following skills and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience with medical device design and engineering
* A background with implantable medical devices is preferred
* The ability to work with CAPA teams to resolve product issues
* The ability to act as a liaison with external suppliers to insure
continuity of product supply by resolving quality issues
